Author Biography
Award winning author, Russell Thornberry, was born with an insatiable appetite for adventure in the great outdoors. His interest led him into hunting and fishing and eventually into guiding and outfitting and a career in outdoors writing. Subsequently he has been published in most of the prominent outdoors magazines in the U.S. and Canada, which led him to becoming editor in chief of Buckmasters Magazine and their subsidiary publications, Gun Hunter and Rack magazines. He has authored numerous instructional outdoors books as well as his masterpiece anthology entitled "Trophies of the Heart." While spinning hilarious yarns of his wild experiences around campfires all over the world, his listeners kept telling him he should write a book about his bizarre experiences. Finally he wrote "Bucks, Bulls and Belly Laughs," which firmly established him as a gifted writer of humor. And now comes "Dances with Turtles," which equals, if not surpasses the hilarity created by "Belly Laughs." As noted on the cover of "Dances with Turtles": "You can't make this stuff up!"
