A princess gone rogue. A queen thirsting for blood. A world hanging in the balance.
A spellbinding epic fantasy debut about a goddess who believes the earth is worth saving, her sister who is certain it isn't, and the extreme lengths they will go to prove each other wrong-perfect for readers longing to revisit the mythological air of Circe and the precarious court intrigue of A Game of Thrones.
When rival twin goddesses cannot decide whether to save or abandon medieval Earth, their father, Lazarus, agrees to a crafty solution: Let them spend a lifetime as humans to assess it firsthand, and upon their death, they will cast their unbiased votes.
But his plan comes with a catch: Neither goddess nor their protector knows where in the world they will be born, or who they will incarnate as-details, Dimity quickly realizes, that might have prevented her from saying yes.
After all, there is a reason so many deities are opposed to saving Earth, and in a kingdom full of truth and deceit, even the Goddess of Wisdom and Justice may be convinced to switch her vote...
