Derek Jones and the Dark Mirrors: Book 1 (Deluxe Perfect Bound Edition)
Some doors should never be opened...
In a future close to our own, 17-year-old Derek Jones unlocks a secret beneath the Moon's surface - one that draws the attention of a mysterious leader from the Milky Way Galaxy's most powerful governing body: the million-world Galactic Alliance.
When a classified object known as a Dark Mirror is reactivated inside his father's government-contracted physics lab, Derek stumbles into a conspiracy that spans nations, galaxies, and dimensions. For years, scientists at New Physics Corporation - a top-level Pentagon contractor led by his father, CEO Rick Jones - have studied the mysterious mirrors. But no one could predict what would happen when Derek encountered one up close.
What begins as a quiet internship quickly becomes a cosmic journey as Derek and his friends discover that the mirrors aren't just portals - they're ancient wormholes that connect distant civilizations and hold secrets about humanity's place in the universe.
Pursued by shadowy forces seeking to weaponize the technology, Derek soon discovers his own Pentillion ancestry - a bloodline linked to a powerful race that has crossed entire multiverses. Now he must uncover the truth about his family's past, his unexpected genetic heritage, and the future of intelligent life itself - before Earth falls into the hands of an ancient enemy.
With the help of his fiercely intelligent friend Jenna, rogue CIA agents, and an enigmatic nun who seems to know far more than she should, Derek is thrust into a battle that spans galaxies and dimensions.
Meanwhile, Madam Pentillion, a mysterious ruler within the vast Galaxy Alliance, watches Derek closely. She sees in him something she thought was lost - the power to change everything. But can she be trusted? And what dark forces lurk behind the rise of Earth's new leadership?
From the depths of the Moon's secret past to the halls of power on Earth, Derek Jones and the Dark Mirrors is a thrilling YA sci-fi fantasy adventure packed with mind-bending science, gripping twists, and high-stakes action.
