"Discourse" Global Literature Magazine.
War, in its starkest form, leaves indelible scars on humanity, etching pain and loss into the hearts of countless individuals. In this special anti-war poetry edition of Discourse Global Literature Magazine, edited by Aamir Abdullah, a trilingual poet from Pakistan, we bring together voices from across the globe to speak out against the horrors of conflict. This bilingual collection, featuring poems in both English and Urdu, includes contributions from poets in Pakistan and fifteen other countries.
Through these powerful verses, our poets transcend borders and cultures, uniting in their call for peace and understanding. Each poem in this edition captures the profound anguish and futility of war, while also kindling a hope for a future where harmony prevails over hatred. By sharing these heartfelt expressions, we aim to foster a deeper appreciation for the sanctity of life and the universal desire for a world free from the ravages of war.
We invite you to journey through these pages, to listen to the poignant voices that resonate with a common plea for peace, and to join us in envisioning a world where the pen triumphs over the sword.
