A retired adjunct professor of music, Dr. Whalen resides in Pittsburgh, Pa. where she teaches voice, serves as a cantor and volunteer at the Parish of Saint Raphael the Archangel, and takes part in home Bible study. Her pastimes are swimming, earthing, tap dance, flower gardening, and Duolingo Spanish.
