Bernardine Atkinson holds a Master's Degree from the University of Wales, Centre for Journalism Studies. She achieved her doctorate at the Charles Darwin University. She was inspired to write this book after witnessing the decimation of plants and wildlife in Australia and around the world. When she is not writing, Dr. Atkinson enjoys playing tennis, sailing, sewing and studying classical singing.
