Author Biography
Producto de una familia mexicoamericana, David Bowles vivió la mayor parte de su vida en el sur de Texas, donde actualmente enseña en la Universidad de Texas. Ha escrito catorce libros, incluyendo They Call Me Güero (Me dicen güero, en español), que es un libro de honor del premio Pura Belpré y del premio Walter, entre varios otros. Su libro The Smoking Mirror también fue un libro de honor de premio Pura Belpré.
