1920. Mairi lives with her father in a village lighthouse on the Atlantic coast. Known as "the mermaid's daughter," she is solitary child, with the ocean and nature as her only playmates. Her mother was lost in a storm, and the mystery of her disappearance is fuel for conjecture around local hearths on long winter nights. Mairi and her father are shunned by the superstitious villagers until the arrival of the prominent Andrade Puig i Serra family, who build an enigmatic colonial-style house on the rocky shore. A sensitive and introverted young woman, she is hired as the assistant to Hilda Silva, an elderly writer and the guardian of many secrets. Clara embarks on a journey to the past in search of the truth behind the village's silence, hoping to discover her roots and banish old ghosts. Author Biography
Lucía Lago. Nacida en A Coruña en el año 1988, es licenciada en Derecho y Administración y Dirección de Empresas por la Universidad de La Coruña. Su trayectoria profesional está ligada a la asesoría jurídica en la Administración General del Estado. Escribe desde muy pequeña y es una lectora voraz. Ha vivido en Barcelona y desde 2023 reside en Madrid. La naturaleza de Galicia, tierra de sus raíces y a la que se siente muy conectada, junto con sus leyendas, paisajes y tradiciones han inspirado El faro de la sirena, su primera novela publicada, en Suma.
