Author Biography
Marcus Pfister was born in Bern, Switzerland. After studying at art school in Bern, he trained as a graphic artist. His first picture book was published by NordSüd in 1986, but his breakthrough as author and illustrator came in 1992 with the publication of The Rainbow Fish. Since then, he has published more than sixty books, which have been translated into about sixty-five languages and have won many international awards. He lives with his family in Bern.
David Bowles is a Mexican American author and translator from South Texas, where he works as an associate professor at the University of Texas Río Grande Valley. Among his award-winning books are They Call Me Güero / Me dicen Güero, My Two Border Towns / Mis dos pueblos fronterizos, Ancient Night / Noche antigua, and The Prince & the Coyote / El príncipe y la coyote. David currently serves as the vice president of the Texas Institute of Letters.-
David Bowles es un autor y traductor mexicoamericano del sur de Texas, donde funge como catedrático asociado en la Universidad de Texas, Valle del Río Grande. Entre sus libros premiados se encuentran They Call Me Güero / Me dicen Güero, My Two Border Towns / Mis dos pueblos fronterizos, Ancient Night / Noche antigua y The Prince & the Coyote / El príncipe y la coyote.
