Nacida en Suecia, Josie se mudó a Escocia cuando tenía dos años. Regresó a su país de origen años después y allí se graduó en Psicología Clínica. Una vez completados sus estudios se mudó a Londres y luego a Singapur en busca de aventuras y un poco menos de lluvia. Nacida en una familia de escritores y lectores, ha trabajado como editora de libros independiente durante los últimos diez años. Actualmente vive en Singapur con su marido y sus dos hijos. Josie cree que los libros sobre el pasado pueden cambiar el futuro y aspira a escribir tantos como sea posible.
