What are we to make of history and current events? Through what lens are we to view them? Empire argues that the right way to view history is as the progressive conquest of the world by the Christian gospel. From the Garden of Eden's dominion mandate through Christ's Great Commission, to this present day, God's purpose has not changed: the conquest of a fallen world by means of a redeemed people, empowered and led by the Holy Spirit.
We are neither to try and escape from this fallen world nor conform to it. Rather, it is the object of our conquest; a conquest through preaching and living the gospel of Jesus Christ rather than through force of arms. It is the meek who shall inherit the earth.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Russ Neal is a lay Christian activist who has been involved in Christian education, pro-life activism, the defense of marriage, and most other issues of our generation. A graduate of the US Naval Academy, Russ has completed a forty-year career in nuclear and electrical engineering and holds two master's degrees. He currently works as a consultant in these fields. Russ resides in Southern California and is married with two children and three grandchildren.
