Mikel Santiago nació en Portugalete (Bizkaia) en 1975. Comenzó escribiendo relatos y novelas cortas, y publicando sus propios ebooks en internet, con los que consiguió llegar a las listas de best sellers de iTunes, Amazon y Barnes & Noble. Ha vivido en Irlanda y en Ámsterdam. Actualmente reside en Bilbao.
