In the wake of global economic collapse, the OneEarth Bank promises prosperity in exchange for compliance with the commerce chip insertions. Those who refuse the chip are vilified and called Resistors.
When Rielle James's parents refuse to comply, government officials tear her family apart and Rielle is forced into a Community Service Contract.
