This book seeks to help people develop the art of conversation patterned after two key proverbs: "The purpose in a man's mind is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out." "Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry." Developing the skill of asking questions, and acutally listening, builds a bridge of relationhip that can bear the weight of truth. In so doing, one will win friends, influence people and be able to discuss personal topics and experiences, including areas of personal beliefs and faith. Midwestern raised. Educated as a teacher, and later as a mechanical engineer. Have enjoyed a life-long relationship with my wife, with whom we have raised three amazing children, who, with their spouses, have granted us eleven grandchildren. Retired, but re-purposed starting a company at the age of 65. While in college, discovered the reality of God's desire to adopt those whom He created to be sons and daughters through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ. Mentored through the one-to-one discipling ministry of the Navigators. That training led to the joy of meeting new people, hearing their stories and discovering how my Heavenly Father has been pursuing them though they may not be even aware yet of His pursuit.
