Mankind progressed from 4000 years of horseback transport to space travel within the span of only fifty years. The very last of the horse drawn carriages in New York City disappeared circa 1920 and technology advanced during the half century proceeding to land a man on the moon. What happened? It was a most rapid changing of our world as mankind suddenly saw himself part of an endless evolution of all things. It was the result of an age of enlightenment as he found himself part of a natural progression that would take him to the outer reaches of the galaxies. He and his world were evolving. It was a great opportunity for a man named Charles Darwin to introduce his ideas about the origin of mankind and it seemed the world had been waiting for such an idea. It would be the doing away with God and the Bible. God was no longer needed as man's new understanding indicated that he had come from literally nothing after a big bang occurred and our planet was seen as, not a glorious creation of God but a chance evolution of elements.
