"Ex Libris Tarot" is a compilation of information Elizabeth Seer has gathered almost 25 years of work with the Tarot. She offers this student manual from her own "Tarot Book of Shadows", created at the turn of the millennium. When she put this information together, Elizabeth never thought it was something others would be interested in; however, as her knowledge on the subject has grown, so have the calls for this book's release (previously only available in her classroom setting). This reference will give you general meanings for each of the 78 Tarot cards, beyond the standard Little White Book which comes with most professional-print decks. Those are a good place to start, and "Ex Libris Tarot" is a great place for the next step in your Tarot journey (if you're so inclined). This book and journal offers a basic foundation for each card, which you may expand upon in your search for knowledge and connection with your favorite deck(s). While there is significant information for each card, this book does not get into the deeper theological and metaphysical symbolism as so many others, but it isn't meant to. It's a small stepping stone at the beginning of a journey across a great river of information. Your path is yours and yours alone, but you can choose help, gaining knowledge along the way. Elizabeth always says, "Tarot is a great way to 'know thyself'". Although she reads for others professionally now, she began using the Tarot simply as a "self-help" tool to help her navigate mundane life. She didn't realize it was going to open up an entirely new world of spiritual understanding and connection. It's not like that for everyone, but if you're being called to the work, you could experience your own path of awakening to a newfound consciousness by accessing information through your personal connection to the Tarot.
