The future is an unstoppable force. A looming eternity of unknowns.
Still, for Elena, that future once seemed simple. Keep narrating books while Cooper, her husband, continued writing bestsellers year after year. Cherish the life they'd built together. Savor every winter retreat in the Colorado mountains.
Then the man who helped build both their careers warns Elena that artificial intelligence is about to change the literary world forever. Soon readers will still be buying Cooper's books, but they won't be written by him.
She can help shape what comes next or stand by as her husband is erased by it.
Elena agrees to take part in a project she believes will protect the life she's built with Cooper. But the more she becomes involved, the more she has to hide, until almost every secret she keeps is another piece of him she's given away.
Set alongside the events of Fake Creativity, False Narratives reveals Elena's side of the story in this tense, intimate novel about love, a lifetime of choices, and the cost of trying to outrun the future.
