This is a story about a young man brought into our family by GOD, our FATHER. He was so different from our family but he left an impact that has forever changed our lives. As you read the memories we shared with Pete Barton, think of the special people that have been placed into your lives. Battling depression is part of many people's lives every day.
Some find that suicide is the only way out for the hopelessness that strikes full force. The first time I saw Pete clearly was in a Tuesday night church service in a small Baptist church in Bastrop, Louisiana. I heard about him from the kids around town.
They admired him. We let him and his friend come into our home as they had long hair, heavy metal tee shirts, holey blue jeans, broken hearts, lonely, sad, abandoned, and lost. We would share JESUS and pray with those who would let us
