Without thinking beyond their actions, kids begin whacking at things like flies and often miss and destroy. Parents have the challenge in training kids up to become adults to lovingly instruct them on how best to go about doing things a little better with their good intentions, especially avoiding gross situations like when flies are on dog doodoo Many times though, the natural consequences of kid's actions often become the best teacher -- like when the fly lands on the kids face and the parents had warned to be careful whacking at flies

Flies Ate My Fries is a great book for parents, grandparents, and teachers that book provides a comical journey and discussion of what boys tend to do early in their life -- act first and think later The book does not provide counsel at the end or what to say to your own kids, but purposely allows you to review or begin talking through how best not to destroy the world for something so small It's a great book all around from the mere fact we can laugh together as well as be used for instruction. The book and real life makes us laugh, and for the smaller, listening kids they love whacking the flies on the page and the older kids make the loud clapping sounds with their hands.
