This book is a history based genealogy of some of the descendants of Daniel and Hannah McNair, of the Shenandoah Valley in Colonial Virginia. This is not a typical genealogy filled with just names and dates, but is a story book telling of their lives; their foibles; their victories and defeats. Included is the relationship to the death of Meriwether Lewis and an Arkansas blood feud that made national headlines. There are artists, masons, cobblers, goldsmiths, knights, Vikings, and Kings. In order to have a clan, one must have wives, and so their ancestry is included as well --- these are the allied lines of Price, Scherertz, Manes, Kester, Barnett, Pruitt, Rogers, Eights, Fridley, Burton, Peer and more, some going back over a thousand years.
