This volume consists of more than 60 color photographs of New York City between the years 1984 and 1998. Taken by the internationally acclaimed Italian photographer Fulvio Roiter (1926-2016), the images serve as a celebration of the city and people of New York, illustrating their beauty, strength, resilience and hope with a sense of poignant immediacy and timeless elegance. The series recalls a New York that once was, with many shots featuring the city's instantly recognizable skyline which was irreparably altered by the terrorist attacks that unfolded just a few years later.
