Dr Banihan Gunay graduated from the Civil Engineering department of the Mediterranean University, Antalya, and obtained his MSc and PhD degrees in Transportation Engineering at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. He also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in University Teaching. Since 2000, Dr Gunay has been working as a Lecturer in Transport at the University of Ulster, where he teaches a number of subjects including Inventory Management and Warehousing, Transport Interfaces, and Transport Technology. He is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. Dr Gunay is the author of many journal articles and conference papers, and has won a number of best paper awards and research grants.
