Dotti Enderle has enlightened children as an elementary-school teaching and library assistant. She has also contributed articles and poetry to popular children's magazines such as Children's Playmate and Ladybug. Enderle is the accomplished author of several books, including Pelican's The Cotton Candy Catastrophe at the Texas State Fair, Granny Gert and the Bunion Brothers, The Fat Stock Stampede at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and Hidden.
From textbooks to television shows, Joe Kulka is an award-winning author and illustrator who works in multiple media platforms. Kulka wrote and illustrated Pelican's The Rope and collaborated with Dotti Enderle on Granny Gert and the Bunion Brothers. In addition to illustrating, he enjoys fly-fishing and spending time with his family.
