God Lives in Me is a children's book that centers on the spiritual connection between God and a child. The book repeats affirmations of God's love and presence in everyday life. It tells children they belong to God, who lives in them. The text is simple and rhythmic. It encourages children to feel loved and protected from the moment they wake up until they go to sleep. Each page reiterates God's constant presence in their lives through easy-to-remember, comforting words.
Inspired by Angela Rene's song "God Lives in Me" from her CD titled Motivation to Meditation, the book encourages children to embrace their inner beauty, strength, and connection to God.
The book ends with a prayer thanking God for His guidance and affirming the child's happiness and identity as God's child. The verses from the bible reinforce the message that God is always with them, guiding and loving them.
