Every evening, the sky goes dark. And deep in Lusa, something glows.
Lusa is a small forest creature with a problem she cannot solve - when the world goes dark, she lights up. The darker it gets, the brighter she shines, and no matter how tightly she curls herself into a ball and rolls away to hide, the light simply will not stop.
One long, quiet night in the forest, Lusa ventures further than she has ever gone before. She watches an owl sit perfectly still in the dark. She listens to a frog sing without shame into the open air. And when a small, lost rabbit appears - frightened and alone - Lusa must choose between disappearing into the shadows or letting her light lead the way.
Goodnight, Lusa is a lyrical, atmospheric bedtime story about anxiety, emotional sensitivity, and the quiet courage it takes to stop hiding. With rhythmic prose and a richly imagined nighttime world, it is a book for children who feel everything a little too much, and for every adult who reads beside them.
