When lonely Grandmother Moon stops in her journey to hear Brother Mountain's stories, she also stops the sun from rising, the animals from sleeping, and more! This causes the Creator to intervene, but how can Grandmother Moon's loneliness be solved while ensuring the sky moves from night to day?
Author Biography
Barbara E. Elgutaa is a member of the Oneida Nation from Wisconsin and is part of the Turtle Clan. As a small child, she heard Oneida and Menominee languages growing up. In addition to language, she learned culture, stories and traditional ways. Barbara earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in counselor education from the University of Wisconsin and worked as an education counselor for 30 years, including as a certified Multicultural Counselor and Psychological & Emotional Trauma counselor. Barbara currently lives in Tucson, Arizona.
Stefan Brunette was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where he pursued his passion for art and storytelling from a young age. He graduated from Saint Mary's University in Calgary, Alberta, with a B.A. in English. He went on to earn his education degree and now teaches full-time. Stefan and his family live on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, in Orillia, Ontario.
