Every year, Granny's apple tree ripens just in time for Arbaeen. Its golden apples are picked with love and served to the zuwār of Imam Husayn as they pass by on their long walk.
Sama and Saed love helping Granny. They love the flags, the footsteps, the tired smiles, and the voices calling, "Husayn! Husayn!" But this year, the road stays quiet, and the children begin to worry. What if the zuwār come before the apples are ready?
In their eagerness to help, Sama and Saed make a mistake: they pick the apples too soon. The apples are green, sour, and not ready at all.
But Granny knows that a mistake made with love can still be repaired. Together, they wash, peel, stir, bake, and transform the sour apples into jam and crunchy apple chips for the walkers of Arbaeen.
Gentle, warm, and spiritually rich, Granny's Arbaeen Apples teaches children that service begins in the heart, that patience makes love sweeter, and that even mistakes can become beautiful when we try to make them right.
Perfect for children aged 3-7, this moving picture book is ideal for Arbaeen, Muharram, Safar, Islamic school libraries, family reading, and conversations about serving Imam Husayn with sincerity.
