Hampstead is a charming New Hampshire town with a deep history dating back to its founding in 1749, when Gov. Benning Wentworth incorporated the land surrounding his farm property on what is now known as Governors Island. Hampstead, both past and present, evokes an appreciation of a quaint village lifestyle.
