This book focuses on the dilemma faced each year by Chicago Cubs, and to a similar degree, Chicago White Sox fans over the years as they have awaited, with much anticipation, the annual baseball season. There has been the strong desire by fans to celebrate participation by their favorite Chicago baseball teams in the postseason which culminates in and hopefully involves winning a World Series title. While both teams have been a part of the postseason and have won World Series during the 20th and 21st Centuries, those victories have been few and far between. The Cubs won the World Series in 2016 after waiting for 108 years, while the White Sox last won in 2005 after a gap of 88 years, so their fans have had to be very patient in order to celebrate victory. Those highs and lows are the focus of this publication.
