Janet Morrison's I Need The Light! Companion Journal and Diary goes along with her devotional book, I Need The Light! 26 Weekly Readings to Help You Through the Cold Months of the Year.
There are questions and journaling prompts based on each of the 26 weeks in the companion devotional book. The questions are designed to prompt you to take time to dig a little deeper into that week's Scripture and other sources used in the devotional book. Some of the journalizing prompt invite you to reflect on your own life experiences and to put your thoughts in writing.
Cold weather is difficult for many people. Cool temperatures and sudden changes in the weather can wreak havoc with people who have Fibromyalgia, Seasonal Affective Disorder, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, Arthritis, and other illnesses and conditions.
Perhaps you just prefer warm weather over cold weather. Or you are interested in studying references in the Bible to Jesus Christ as The Light or The Light of the World.
As is the case with the devotional book, this companion journal and diary can be used however suits your schedule. You may wish to read the entire week's devotional and write in the journal in one day, or you may prefer to read and journal about each section over several days or the entire week.
A lifelong Presbyterian, Janet is not an "in-your-face" Christian. If you want to be scared into following Jesus Christ, this is not the book for you. Both books are written in a conversational tone. Janet hopes you will feel like you are sitting with her at the kitchen table having a conversation.
