Few personalities in Islamic history are as widely revered, respected, and loved as Imam Bukhari. But while his name is well known because of his work Sahih Bukhari, his personal story is not. This book uncovers his amazing life in which he travelled thousands of miles and learned from over 1000 teachers in his quest to preserve the legacy of the Prophet Muhammad (S).
Imam Bukhari was born in Bukhara, in modern-day Uzbekistan. He was blind at birth but miraculously gained his sight back. He was a polymath with a photographic memory. He dedicated his life to collecting Hadith, the saying of the Prophet Muhammad (S). Bukhari was born in the golden age of Hadith sciences during the Abbasid Caliphate in the 8th Century and authored the most authentic collection of Hadith in a book entitled Sahih al-Bukhari, for which he is most famously known.
Author Biography
Akmal Ullah is an English teacher and author of young adult fiction with a BA in English and History, a PGCE in English, and a Graduate Diploma in Law. He currently teaches in London's inner-city schools and colleges.
