He chaired the iSchools 'iCaucus' (2012-13), was one of the signers of the iSchools incorporation in 2014. He served as Executive Director of the iSchools until May 2024. He was editor of the peer-reviewed academic journal \u003ci\u003eLibrary Hi Tech\u003c\/i\u003e from 1997 to 2016. He continues to serve on the editorial board of \u003ci\u003eBibliothek Forschung und Praxis\u003c\/i\u003e (2007-) and as editor of \u003ci\u003eWorld Digital Libraries\u003c\/i\u003e. He has published a number of books, including \u003ci\u003eThe Measurement of Research Integrity\u003c\/i\u003e (2021), \u003ci\u003eQuantifying Research Integrity\u003c\/i\u003e (2017), and \u003ci\u003eEducating the Profession: 40 years of the IFLA Section on Education and Training\u003c\/i\u003e (IFLA Series, 2016).
