Growing up in a Christian church, the most prevalent consistent teaching about dating and sex is that it is a sin to have sex outside of marriage. Where does this come from? Is it actually in the Bible? While few actually live this, most are taught that both males and females are supposed to remain virgins until marriage. After decades of living with this guideline as it was taught to him, the author undertook an exhaustive Bible study to look for more concrete answers than he could find in church services and small groups. Digging past the surface statements and catch phrases uttered by pastors and Bible study leaders, the author has uncovered a shocking discovery that may change everything you think you know about this fundamental teaching.
