Author Biography
Cali Gilbert is an award-winning photographer who has always had a fascination with the Golden Gate Bridge, and never dreamed one day she would live five minutes away from this monumental landmark. Cali has always had a passion for photography, specifically architecture. Coming from a family of artists, Cali's passion was developed at a young age, but only truly fulfilled in recent years. A resident of Sausalito, CA, Cali first had her photography recognized at the Sausalito Art Festival in 2010 when one of her pieces went on exhibit at the Bay Model Visitor's Center. Since then, her work has exhibited throughout the Bay Area, Los Angeles and New York City. Cali published her first book, It's Simply...Sausalito: An Inspirational Journey in 2011. A former athlete and magazine publisher, Cali now hopes to serve her community as entrepreneur and philanthropist working to raise funds for underserved children in the areas of Sport, Music and the Arts.
