Jojo is the smallest pup in his pack, but he dreams the biggest dream of all: winning the Puppy Games.
Velvety brown ears, a snowy white chest, and a heart that never holds back, Jojo has everything a champion needs except size, and that's all Brutus the Bulldog can see. "You? A champ? Ha! You're too tiny to fight!"
Just when Jojo's hope starts to fade, something surprising happens: his chest begins to glow. With the help of new friends, Tito the Tortoise, Lola the Rabbit, and Rocco the Squirrel, Jojo trains hard, tumbles into muddy mishaps, and discovers that his glow grows brightest not when he's racing to win, but when he's being kind.
On Games Day, with the finish line in sight and the crowd roaring, Jojo faces the biggest test of all: stop to help a lost, frightened chick, or keep running toward victory. What he chooses will show everyone, even Brutus, what a true champion really looks like.
A warm, rhyming picture book about courage, kindness, and shining your own light no matter your size, Jojo the Courageous reminds young readers that champions aren't always the fastest or the biggest. Sometimes, the biggest heart wins the race.
Perfect for storytime, bedtime, and every small dreamer who's ever been told they're too little to try.
