This story is based upon the life of the real Jumping Jack Flash, a horse who lived in Half Moon Bay, California. Jack was an ex-racehorse related to the famous racer, Secretariat. This story traces his lifetime journey from place to place and owner to owner, as he seeks a barn he can call home and people he can call family. All the proceeds from this book are donated to Save the Horses, a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing abused, abandoned, and neglected horses since 1998.
Author Biography
Giselle Vitcov was born and raised in San Francisco, California and first got into the saddle at the age of 8. When she was 12 years old she began riding the real Jumping Jack Flash. She fell in love with this beautiful horse and decided to write his story to share with her friends. She eventually learned that she could publish the story for other young riders to enjoy and even help troubled horses along the way. All the proceeds from this book are donated to Save the Horses, a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing abused, abandoned, and neglected horses since 1998.
