Keesha Luz is not an ordinary little girl. She is kind and cool, but she also has special powers bestowed upon her by her African and Mexican ancestors. Keesha can use her powers to help people who are hurting others to become kinder and more respectful in their words and actions. Keesha loves to spread joy and light, and that is the meaning of her name. When the family is invited to a cousin's birthday party, her little brother Manny decides to wear a dress, which causes concern and ridicule from her Uncle. This makes the family uncomfortable and Manny very sad, so Keesha springs into action. She uses the power from her eyes to make her uncle see that it is wrong to mistreat Manny just because he is different.
