She specialises in philosophy of the body and is a former dancer. Her publications include three monographs: \u003ci\u003eLa Phénoménologie\u003c\/i\u003e (2018), \u003ci\u003ePhénoménologie de la danse. De la chair à l'éthique\u003c\/i\u003e (2021), of which this volume is the English translation, and \u003ci\u003eLe Corps\u003c\/i\u003e (2022). She also co-edited with Chiara Palermo the anthology \u003ci\u003ePesanteur et portance. Une éthique de la gravité\u003c\/i\u003e (2022). Her work focuses on kinaesthetic empathy and the ethical dimension of experiences of gravity and movement in art and clinical practice.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eAnna Pakes\u003c\/b\u003e is a translator and researcher, specialising in philosophy of dance. Her authored publications have included \u003ci\u003eChoreography Invisible: The Disappearing Work of Dance\u003c\/i\u003e (2020) and the co-edited anthology \u003ci\u003eThinking through Dance: The Philosophy of Dance Performance and Practices \u003c\/i\u003e(2013), as well as numerous articles and essays on a range of dance philosophical themes.
