Eloise Davies is broke as a joke that wasn't funny the first time. Since leaving her job as a bench chemist, Eloise has pursued her dream in private investigation, all the while struggling to actually get anywhere. As Jacques and Eloise circle each other--delicately, warily, but nevertheless magnetically--they will peel back layers of themselves to the people they want to be.
