Ernest McMillan\u003c\/b\u003e is a veteran human rights activist who worked through the 1960s in Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia with the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) and throughout the 1980s with the National Black United Front and the United League of Mississippi. McMillan served as the Chairman of the Dallas SNCC from 1967 to 1969. In 2007, he returned to his hometown, Dallas, where he continued to volunteer extensively for organizations such as the Dallas Peace Center, IFCO\/Pastors for Peace, Youth Believing in Change, Cara Mia Theatre Company, Owenwood Farm, and Neighbor Space.
