Isabel Cañas es una escritora mexico-americana. Ha vivido en México, Escocia, Egipto y Turquía. Actualmente vive en Nueva York, donde trabaja en su tesis doctoral sobre literatura medieval islámica y escribe novelas inspiradas por su investigación y sus orígenes.
