La inerrancia bíblica de Andrés Messmer y José Hutter señala que la doctrina de la inspiración conlleva, por lo menos, cuatro consecuencias: autoridad, claridad, necesidad y suficiencia.
Por eso, en la autoridad se encuentra la relación entre la Biblia y la verdad. Es decir, la inspiración conlleva la autoridad, la cual a su vez conlleva afirmaciones con respecto a la verdad. La doctrina específica que trata este tema se llama la inerrancia y es el tema de este libro.
Por qué escribir sobre la inerrancia?
El tema de la inerrancia merece la pena, pues los cristianos deben saber qué tienen en las manos cuando abran la Biblia. La Biblia es el libro más importante para los cristianos, sobre el cual muchos han basado su fe y práctica, y deben saber si contiene errores --por ejemplo, de tipo científico, arqueológico, filosófico, religioso, etc.-- o no.

Muy interesante y práctico es el capítulo que presenta una exégesis profunda sobre los dos textos clásicos sobre la inspiración: 2 Timoteo 3:14-17 y 2 Pedro 1:19-21.
El libro está, también, enfocado en la aplicación práctica que la inerrancia tiene para nuestras iglesias. Trata con la Palabra que leemos, estudiamos y predicamos y sobre la cual basamos nuestra fe en Jesucristo.
The Biblical Inerrancy of Andrés Messmer and José Hutter points out that the doctrine of inspiration has at least four consequences: authority, clarity, necessity, and sufficiency.
That is why authority finds the relationship between the Bible and the truth. That is to say, inspiration implies authority, which in turn implies affirmations regarding the truth. The specific doctrine that addresses this issue is called inerrancy and this is the subject of this book.
Why write about Inerrancy?
The issue of Inerrancy is worth it because Christians should know what they have in their hands when they open the Bible. The Bible is the most important book for Christians, on which many have based their faith and practice, and should know whether it contains errors - for example, of a scientific, archaeological, philosophical, religious, etc. type - or not.
The book is divided into these chapters:

- Inerrancy and the nature of the Bible
- An exegesis of the classic texts of inspiration
- Inerrancy according to the early Church
- The canon of the Bible
Very interesting and practical is the third chapter that presents a profound exegesis of the two classic texts on inspiration, namely, 2 Timothy 3: 14-17 and 2 Peter 1: 19-21.
The book is also focused on the practical application that inerrancy has for our churches: it deals with the Word we read, study and preach and on which we base our faith in Jesus Christ
