He has immigrated to Brazil in 1974, living permanently in the city of São Paulo. His master in Taoist Qigong was Liu Pai Lin. He received lessons of external Qigong (therapeutic Qigong) and Chiropractic from Master Yoshitsugu Hayashi. He was granted an official degree as a Tai Chi Chuan master (Liu Pai Lin style), as well as Baguazhang master (Pa Kua Tsam style). He was president of the Shioda Institute, located in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil. In 1993, he was decorated by the Brazilian government with the Professor Hideyo Noguchi Collar, and in 1994 with the Gra-Cruz Medal. Kenichi Shioda presented lectures and courses at São Paulo University (USP), Federal University of Paraíba, Tokyo Kogyo University (Japan), Federal University of Dakar (Senegal), Federal University of Cape Verde (Africa), and Consulate-General of Japan, Uruguay. He is the author of \"Chi Kung Pai Lin and Chiropractic\/Seitai with Energization\" (Paulo's Graphic Press), along with Yoshitsugu Hayashi.
