Published around 1615, Le Nouveau Panurge is an anti-Huguenot satirical tract that adopts the structure of a fantasist travel narrative. The protagonist makes a stopover on the Imaginary Island, where he is curiously rejuvenated. During his journey, Panurge meets several famous deceased pastors and theologians from the Reformation.
