Hernán Zin has been writing about the most dangerous conflicts on the planet for over twenty years--experience that allowed him to know firsthand the many faces of the human condition: cruelty, brutality, but also hope, cooperation, and the desire to tell others what he has lived through to change the world. But, how does someone adapt to a normal life after spending two decades at war? With humanity, excitement, and a smile on his face, in this book, Hernán retraces the most important episodes of his career. He allows us to discover the everyday reality of countries such as Afghanistan, Congo, Somalia, or Palestine. Since he was forced to abandon the frontline of armed conflicts due to his mental health, he hasn't stopped looking for clues to lead a life with greater serenity, temperance, and fulfillment. The consequence are these lessons, a vital testimony that helps us understand the world around us and ourselves.
