Here's a secret. Every myth is based on a true story.We need legends to inspire the impossible.Here's a lie. Every legend is simply false hope.Dawn finally knows exactly who and what she is. But, what she is comes with the realization that she's made from the same magic that has caused all the Protogenoi to go mad with power, and become generally evil people. It's a little concerning, to say the least. However, she's got bigger things to focus on, such as revamping the Subject System that she now oversees and readying for the inevitable attack to come from said Protogenoi.
Phoenix has been on his best behavior for once, helping out with the Subject System and reporting to the Council when called upon. But, Dawn's still keeping her distance. She doesn't trust him, and he thinks she might be right not to.
When the unexpected happens, completely changing the rules of the game in their fight against the Protogenoi, they'll discover truths about themselves and each other that will forever change their relationship and the fate of both Havcire and Vestigium.
