Author Biography
Dr. Edmund Kwan was born in Seoul, South Korea. His family immigrated to America when he was nine years old. After graduating Georgetown Medical School, he completed a residency in general surgery followed by a plastic surgery residency at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center. After an Aesthetic fellowship he has since been practicing reconstructive and cosmetic surgery in New York City. As a Clinical Professor of Surgery at NYPH, Dr. Kwan regularly teaches plastic surgery residents. Dr. Kwan volunteers on a medical missions team, travelling to South America and Africa annually for the past 10 years. His passion for healthy living and total body wellness has led him on a journey to teach, research and advise friends, family, patients, and the community.
