America's racial gap is widening.
Coupled with an increase in political polarization, this shifts the burden of bringing together a divided nation onto nonprofits, communities, and even individual Americans. But what can we, individually, do when so many larger organizations still struggle to meet their goals?
So much.
Let Them Eat Spaghetti is a heartfelt and insightful exploration of overcoming the racial divide in the United States, through the lens of someone with over 20 years' experience leading a nonprofit in predominantly Black communities, and 17 years coaching in predominantly white environments. In it, you will:
- Reflect on your own role in addressing societal inequalities.
- Ask penetrating questions about yourself and/or your organization to shed light on how to close the racial divide.
- Hear inspiring stories about Black youth who overcame the odds, graduated from college, and accomplished what 95% of Americans haven't.
- Learn about a volunteer model whose methods and success have been featured on national, prime-time television by Turner Broadcasting.
- Facilitate discussion within your organization to help you maximize results by aligning your success metrics with your goals.
- Be provided a basis for meaningful and productive discussion between people who disagree.
Let Them Eat Spaghetti is a must-read for anyone interested in reducing the racial divisiveness in America. Whether you are a nonprofit organizer, a volunteer, or just a concerned American citizen, you can do this. You can also help underprivileged children (and others) on their journey to success.
It's time to make meaningful progress on a problem that's been around for centuries.
Together, let's inspire hope for a more inclusive and less polarized future.
