P.L.A.Y. represents a decision-making model to assist readers in making God-led decisions in this fallen world. Making wise decisions, especially those that follow Jesus, can be a difficult task each day, so Dexter offers his inspired model to incite waiting for, and utilizing, spiritual discernment from the Lord. P.L.A.Y. characterizes taking time to pray before decisions, listening for God, acknowledging Him in all circumstances and yielding to God. What is sought most is for readers to choose God in the battle of self-will vs. God's will and allow the Holy Spirit into their lives. It is not about "playing" the game of life, but about choosing a different form of P.L.A.Y. that will bring both wisdom and blessing from God.
