Pass the wishes on! This New York Times bestselling multi-author series is like American Girl with magic.
In this installment, written by acclaimed authors Sarah Mlynowski and Hena Khan, the magic, wish-granting bracelet lands with a girl in Washington, D.C., who ends up being put in charge of... well, everything!
Maya Amir of Washington, DC, can't catch a break. Not only has she lost her bedroom to visiting relatives, she's also lost out on being president of the environmental club to her best friend. Ugh.
When Maya receives a magic, wish-granting bracelent in the mail, she wishes to be in charge. And it works--she's head of the club! Maya is thrilled... until her teacher asks her to take charge of the whole class. Seriously?
Next, Maya finds herself in charge of her entire school. Suddenly, she's chasing class gerbils, comforting crying kids, and unclogging toilets in the teachers' lounge.
And then Maya is put in charge of something even bigger: the country!
With some help from her family, friends, and the three girls who had the magic bracelet before her, will Maya discover what it takes to be a real leader?
